Activity diagrams have a few major parts:

• Start/End nodes : denoted by a labeled opaque circle where your software begins/Ends
• Intermediate activities : denoted by a pill shape to visualize the actions made in the software.
• Decision nodes: denotes an activity that will branch into two activities based on a condition.
• Swim lanes: denote concurrent activities in the application
